How to make a trucking invoice with this tool

  1. Add your company details. Name, address, phone, email and your MC and DOT numbers if you want them on the invoice. They are remembered on this device for next time.
  2. Add who pays. The broker, shipper or customer that owes you, with the billing address.
  3. Add the load. Put the load or reference number in the invoice number or notes, and add one line per charge: freight, fuel surcharge, detention, lumper fee, extra stops.
  4. Add the payment details and the terms: due on receipt, 15 days, 30 days.
  5. Choose the language and download. Press "Download PDF" and choose "Save as PDF" in the print window.

What a trucking invoice usually includes

  • Your company name, address, MC and DOT numbers.
  • The customer or broker and the load or reference number.
  • Pickup and delivery dates and places (put them in the notes).
  • One line per charge, with the quantity (miles, hours, stops) and the rate.
  • Payment terms and how to pay you.

Many brokers also ask for the signed proof of delivery. Check what your customer requires before you send the invoice.
